3日間で、介護施設や専門学校、レストラン、地域コミュニティ、さらにはナイトクラブと、5つの会場にて介護のイベントを開催しました(^｡^)
認知症紙芝居は海外でどう映るのか、日頃やっているアクティビティは受け入れられるのか、そもそも、カタコトの英語で伝わるのか…不安の中でのスタートでしたが、フィリピンの皆さんの表情からは、日本の介護を学べる喜びみたいなものが伝わってきて(ﾟoﾟ;;
紙芝居は熱心にメモを取りながら、頷きながら聴いていただき、さらには、アクティビティにも積極的に参加…
どの会場もフィリピンの皆さんの屈託のない笑顔と笑い声が響き渡り、心地よさと元気を貰いました(^｡^)
言葉はもちろん大事！
}でも日本で培った経験や技は時には言葉を超えるんだなぁと実感。
やってみないと絶対にわからない、やったからこそ得られたものがいっぱいの3日間でした！

【日本の介護を世界の舞台へ】
3日間で介護イベントを5つ開催。駆け抜けた3日間でした。
日本から介護講師の方たちが来比しました。日々現場で取り組み、磨き、培ってきた技と想いを、フィリピンで披露する舞台を整えるのが私の役割です。
もちろん、私自身も演者として登壇しました。定番の認知症紙芝居に加え、寿司クッキング、そして新作の「栄養と食生活」を初披露しました。
日本の食生活と長寿の関連には、世界から多くの注目が集まっています。
世界的にヒットした『IKIGAI（いきがい）』の本でも、日本人の長寿の秘訣として「Hara Hachi Bu（腹八分）」が紹介されていました。
これをヒントに、「基礎栄養学」と「腹八分」を組み合わせた、日本らしい「栄養と食生活」の新ネタを制作したのです。初披露にしては、まずまずの手応えが得られました。
これからはどんどん平場に出て、お笑い芸人のようにネタの精度を磨いていきます。
■言葉を超えて伝わる、日本人介護講師の力
日本人介護講師のパフォーマンスは、さすがのクオリティでした。
言葉の壁は確かに存在します。しかし、それを補って余りあるのが、現場で積み上げてきた経験と技です。
語学の習得には時間がかかりますが、介護講師として現場経験を積み上げていくのも、同じか、それ以上の時間が必要です。
言葉に頼らない非言語のパフォーマンスであれば、彼らは即、海外で通用します。実際にその姿を見て、私はそう確信しました。
なぜなら、海外の観客が見ているのは、ステージ上のパフォーマンスだけではないからです。ステージを降りた後の立ち居振る舞い、日常の所作、礼儀正しさ、丁寧さ、謙虚さ、そして、プロとしての姿勢。
それらが言葉ではなく、雰囲気としてにじみ出る品格こそが、介護職における本当のプロフェッショナリズムなのだと感じます。
■日本の介護を、世界の舞台へ
私は、日本人介護職が海外に出て、日々現場で積み上げてきた経験や技を世界に伝えていく姿を、もっと、もっと、見てみたいと思っています。
日本国内だけに留めておくのは、あまりにも惜しい。世界に向けて、介護職としてのプロの姿勢を見せてほしいのです。
そしてそれは、私たち日本人介護職自身にとっても大きな意味があります。海外に出て初めて、日本の介護の素晴らしさや、自らの価値に気づくことも少なくないからです。
■介護のグローバルチェーン
望む望まざるにかかわらず、日本の介護が国内だけで完結する時代は終わりました。
これからますます外国人労働者は増えていきます。日本はすでに、介護のグローバルチェーンの一部なのです。
であるならば、世界に向けて日本の介護を積極的に発信し、日本で介護を学びたい世界のケアワーカーに届けていくことで、結果として優秀な外国人ケアワーカーを惹きつけることができるのではないでしょうか。
それができる価値を、私たちはすでに持っているのです。
介護を通して、日本と世界をつなげることに、改めて大きなやりがいを感じた3日間でした。
フィリピンに限らず、世界の舞台をプロデュースできるよう、私自身も引き続き現場に出て、技とプロの姿勢を磨いていきます。
【Taking Japanese Caregiving to the World Stage】
■In just three days, we held five caregiving events
My role was to prepare a stage in the Philippines where caregiving instructors from Japan could share the skills and passion they have developed through daily work in real care settings.
I also took part as a presenter.
In addition to the dementia kamishibai, I introduced sushi cooking and presented a new program on nutrition and daily diet for the first time.
■Japanese Food, Longevity, and “Hara Hachi Bu”
Around the world, there is growing interest in the connection between Japanese food and longevity.
In the globally popular book IKIGAI, one reason for Japanese longevity is introduced as “Hara Hachi Bu,” which means eating until you are about 80% full.
Inspired by this idea, I created a new program that combines basic nutrition with the concept of Hara Hachi Bu, reflecting a Japanese approach to diet and health.
For a first presentation, the response was positive.
■The Strength of Japanese Caregiving Instructors Beyond Language
The performance of the Japanese caregiving instructors was impressive.
Of course, there is a language barrier.
However, their long years of hands-on experience and practical skills were strong enough to overcome it.
Learning a language takes time.
But building real experience as a caregiving professional also takes many years—sometimes even longer.
When communication relies less on words, Japanese caregiving instructors can work anywhere in the world.
I became convinced of this through my own experience. This is because international audiences do not only watch what happens on stage.
They also observe behavior off stage—the way instructors move, act, and interact in daily situations.
Politeness, careful attention, humility, and a professional attitude.
These qualities are not spoken. They are felt.
This quiet dignity is what I believe represents the true professionalism of caregiving.
■Opening Japanese Caregiving to the World
I strongly believe that Japanese care professionals should go abroad more often and share the skills and experience they have built in the field.
Keeping this knowledge only within Japan would be a great loss.
I want the world to see the professional attitude of Japanese caregivers.
At the same time, this experience is also meaningful for Japanese caregivers themselves.
Many realize the true value of Japanese caregiving only after stepping outside Japan.
■Global caregiving system
Whether we like it or not, Japanese caregiving is no longer limited to Japan.
More foreign care workers will come to Japan in the future.
Japan is already connected to the global caregiving system. That is why we must actively share Japanese caregiving with the world and reach out to care workers who want to work in Japan.
We already have something valuable to offer.
These three days reminded me how meaningful it is to connect Japan and the world through caregiving.
Not only in the Philippines, but on stages around the world, I will continue to refine my skills in the field and work as a producer of global caregiving experiences.
